Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Hwy., Lake Wylie, SC. Reid Sampson was born October 18, 1994 in Columbus, OH. He was a Class of 2013 graduate of Worthington Kibourne High School, in Worthington, OH. He was currently serving as assistant coach of Youth Hockey and Sumer Camp Counselor at Pineville Ice House Pineville, NC. Reid was a shinning example of how to be passionate about your interest. He loved anything related to motor sports including NASCAR and Super Cars. He also loved hockey, his favorite Columbus Blue Jackets and his new found mentoring and teaching of children on and off the ice. He is survived by his parents Kenneth Michael and Cheryl Coblentz Sampson, sister Amelia Claire all of Charlotte; grandparents David Coblentz of Westerville, OH and Edith Sampson of Champion, OH; aunts and uncles: Tom and Toni Sampson, Randy and Lynette Sampson, Joe Sampson and Debbie Hatfield; cousins: Dalton Hatfield, Isabella Olvera; Mike, Nathan and Leah Sampson, and Greg Bollinger. Reid was preceded in death by his grandparents Edward Sampson and Betty Coblentz.
