Lisa C. Phelps, 65, passed away June 26, 2024. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Darrell Koch and Wilma (Leidy) Koch. Lisa is survived by her husband of 38 years, Dorr R. Phelps; children, Michelle N. (Dustin) Highnote, Tim G. Phelps, and Danielle C. (Phillip) Kisamore; siblings, Sharney (Molly) Koch and Tina (Merrille) Shop; nieces, Lauren (Tim) Hull and Kayla Shop; other extended family and friends. Lisa was born March 11, 1959 in Mansfield, Ohio and then moved to Worthington, Ohio where she eventually met and wed her husband, Dorr at Grace Brethren Church of Polaris. She graduated in 1977 from Thomas Worthington High School and later from Columbus Business University. Lisa worked for the architectural department for the State of Ohio for many years, for law firms, and helped her husband and son at the family business, Phelps Financial Services, Inc. Lisa spent time volunteering for the American Red Cross in Columbus at various events, the VA, counseling at several detention centers, International Friendships and special needs with her church and otherwise. As Lisa and Dorr's three children journeyed through Worthington Christian Schools over the years, she helped others' children as well. Lisa also spent many years transcribing messages and doing administrative work with Reverend Dave Bogue at Finish Line Ministries Incorporated. She fell in love with horses at a young age and fostered that into adulthood. At her own home she tended to her gardens. She enjoyed watching her beloved Buckeyes, horse races, reading, and sharing her love for books with others. Lisa liked the company of her cats, listening to Dennis Prager, Yanni, Bee Gees, and Cynthia Clawson, and finished her evenings with her daily devotions. Lisa was health conscious and a coupon connoisseur who took part in as many yard sales as she could find. In the fall, the family visited Amish shops in Holmes County and in the spring, they spent time at Hilton Head Island, SC. Lisa traveled with Dorr to Europe, Canada, the Middle East, Mexico, numerous states out west and several cruises. Lisa's two biggest priorities in life were her family's happiness and success and everyone's salvation.
