: Paul R. Barnette, 76, of Fredericksburg, VA passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Hunter Holmes VA Hospital. Paul grew up in a large family in Linworth. He was originally in the class of 1962, but dropped out to join the Marine Corps Reserve. He returned in 1963 and graduated in 1964. He served in Vietnam. Paul retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Sargeant with 26 years of service. He loved bowling and also golfing with the 'Goofers'. Survivors include his wife Anna; children Paul Jr. (Heather) and Patty (Kenny); grandchildren Paul III, Gill, Brandon, McKenna, and Kory; great-grandchildren Nikolai, and Aria; siblings Irene, Ronnie, Karen, and Pauline; and brother-in-law Chuck (Nancy).
