Donald Jay "Donnypoo" Gibbs 45, of Prospect died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003. He was employed by Trucco Construction in Powell and was an avid fisherman who enjoyed nature. He was a loving father and uncle. He was born Jan. 26, 1958, in Columbus and was predeceased by a niece, Valerie. He is survived by his parents, Jacob L. and Edith Gardner Gibbs of Columbus; two daughters, Melissa and Ashley of Athens; his former wife, Karen Gibbs of Athens; a special friend, Cindy Kelley of Lima; a niece, Brittney; a nephew, Jeffrey; three sisters, Laura Garcelon of Michigan, Christina Ott of Prospect and Robin Osborne of Columbus; and two brothers, David Gibbs of California and Richard Gibbs of Columbus.
