Lisa Ellen (Klepinger) Jones, 55, passed away on February 25, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio, after a five-year battle with Frontotemporal Dementia. She lived a life filled with love, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to her family, friends, and community. Born on April 6, 1969, in Worthington, Lisa was a proud graduate of Worthington High School and the Linworth Alternative Program. She continued her education at The Ohio State University, studying in both the School of Music and the School of Social Work. Her passion for helping others led her to work at a teenage runaway center early in her career. She also spent many years as a nanny for lifelong friends before finding her calling in the wine industry. Lisa managed House Wine, worked as a sales representative for Wine Trends, and served as a Wine Steward at Giant Eagle Marketplace Kingsdale. She was a Level 1 Sommelier in the Court of Master Sommeliers and a Certified Specialist in Wine, from the Society of Wine Educators. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for wine education made her a beloved figure among colleagues and customers alike. Beyond her professional life, Lisa was deeply involved in her community and church. A lifelong Methodist, she dedicated herself to teaching children and teenagers in Sunday School and serving as an active youth leader. She took great joy in organizing youth mission trips and played a key role in coordinating the Annual Thanksgiving Community Meal. Her faith and generosity were evident in every aspect of her life. Lisa’s interests reflected her vibrant spirit. She was involved with Rainbow Girls during her youth, served as a Girl Scout Leader for all her children, and remained active in parent-teacher associations and classroom volunteering throughout their schooling. She found joy in listening to music, playing both the flute and piano, and had an infectious love for dancing. Her warmth radiated through every hug she gave and every room she entered. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, R. Jason Jones; her children, Katie M. Beckett (Jon), Molly E. Jones, and Atlas L. Jones; and her cherished grandson, Ezra K. Beckett. She also leaves behind her mother, Ellen J. Klepinger, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Raymon Klepinger, and half-brothers Frank Chambers and Gary Chambers.
