Kyle Patrick Harper, 34, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on September 13, 2023, after enduring a lifetime of unrelenting symptoms from the genetic progressive metabolic disease, Hypophosphatasia. Kyle was born on September 10, 1989 to Patrick and Carol Harper in Columbus, Ohio. Kyle graduated from Worthington Kilbourne High School in 2008. He went on to complete a Bachelors of Food Science at The Ohio State University in 2013. After graduation he worked in a variety of scientific labs managing output and quality control. Kyle was a gentle, calm soul that enjoyed spending time hiking, fishing, traveling, reading, technology, all things science, fireworks, and cooking. He was always willing to lend a hand and to stand up for what he thought was right. He was a fount of knowledge with a quick dry wit. He delighted in his nephews and niece, always selecting the most thoughtful birthday gifts and sneaking them endless amounts of sugar. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him, including his dog-nephew, Henry, whom he showered with pets, attention, and dog bones. Kyle was proceeded in death by maternal grandparents Ann and Ruel Welsh, paternal grandparents Margaret and William Harper, paternal uncle Michael Harper, and cousin Evan Harper. He is survived by his parents Patrick and Carol Harper, sister Molly (Drew) May, his nephews Bennett and Harrison, his niece Caroline, best aunt Elaine Welsh, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
