Paul G. Mally left his earthly home to meet his Heavenly Father and reunite with his beloved wife, Nancy on Tuesday morning, March 12, 2024. He was born on April 21, 1934, in Painesville, Ohio to Clayton and Esther (Springer) Mally. A proud alum of Worthington High School class of 1952, he captained the football team and excelled in track before furthering his education at The Ohio State University and serving in the U.S. Army for two years. On March 23, 1957, Paul married the love of his life, Nancy G. Mosher, and they shared 63 years of marriage until her death in 2020. Together, they built a home in Waldo, OH where they raised their three sons. Dedicated to building strong family ties, they created enduring memories during trips to their Canadian cabin, where fishing, snowmobiling, family, and friend's bonds flourished. During these trips they seized the opportunity of allowing others to experience the wonders of nature and learn to love the relaxing life of being near the water. Paul and Nancy's legacy of love extended to their canine companions too. They loved Airedales, who shared in their adventures. Paul's last Airedale, Rocky, is staying within the family, but he certainly misses the loving touch of his "human dad"! Paul was employed with Nationwide Insurance for 30 years and was also a Masonic Mason. Paul and Nancy were members of Liberty Presbyterian Church in Delaware. Paul's love of his Lord and Savior was shown in his love of others and willingness to help whenever needed. He enjoyed working on projects inside and out. He especially enjoyed supervising his grandchildren with their projects while giving advice. He had a quiet manner, but his orneriness was evident to those who knew him well. Those closest to him "he never met a chocolate chip cookie he didn't like." In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, and his sisters and their spouses, Ann (Alfred) Gartman and Esther (Bill) Johncox, and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joan, and John Wood. Left to treasure his memory are his sons and daughters-in-law, Chuck (Patti), Scott, and Kevin (Lisa) Mally. Grandchildren Samantha (Brian) Lyle, Sarah (Greg) Cook, Jordan (Ellen) Mally, Aaron Mally, and Clayton Mally. He is also survived by great-grandchildren Regan, Mason, and Karsyn Lyle, Elizabeth Feeney, Walker Mally, and a sixth great-grandchild Baby Cook on the way, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
