T.K. Cellar, friend to all and mentor to many, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of August 20, 2024, at the age of 71, from complications due to cancer. Thomas Keith Cellar, always known as T.K., was born on October 14, 1952 in Columbus, Ohio. He was a 1970 graduate of Worthington High School, Capital University, and the University of Dayton where he received his Masters of Science of Education degree. He taught English at Whetstone High School and Delaware Hayes High School, then became a guidance counselor at Thomas Worthington High School until his retirement in 2010. He was a beloved coach of cross country and swimming at Mt. Air Pool, Delaware DARTS, and Thomas Worthington High School. T.K. was also an active member of The First Presbyterian Church and the Historical Society of Ohio. T.K. is survived by his loving wife of 7 years, Susan Cellar (Donaldson); children Chelsea (Charles) Cellar and Adam (Kelsey) Cellar; grandchild Riley and soon to be grandchild Avery; brother Kim (Karen) Cellar; sisters Karen Dages, Kelli (Mark) Fink, and Kristen (Gary) O’Keefe; and numerous nieces and nephews. T.K. is preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Tammy Cellar; his father, Bernard Cellar; his mother, Barbara Cellar; brother-in-law Jim Dages; uncle Roger Cellar; and aunts Myrna Cellar and Jean Cellar. Family will welcome friends on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 12-2, hold a brief memorial service at 3, and visit with friends until 5pm at The Barn at Stratford 2690 Stratford Rd, Delaware, OH 43015. In lieu of flowers, family request contributions be made toward the First Presbyterian Church 73 West Winter Street Delaware, Ohio 43015. The family would like to extend their gratitude toward the incredible staff at Riverside Hospital and Kobacker House for the care and comfort they gave T.K. in his final hours on this earth.
