Born to James and Martha Cahall, David was a supportive brother to Matthew Cahall, Todd and Jaye (Jen) Smith, and Kyle Cahall. As a father, there was no one he loved more than his daughter, Josie Cahall.He was a loving uncle to Oz, Ian, Jay, Jacob, Fran, and Tessa. David attended Worthington High School where he played football and basketball. He was a member of the graduating class of 1986. He attended Valley Forge Military Academy & College. David found a passion for helping others when he participated in the Big Brothers program, mentoring young adults in Columbus. He then went on to devote his time to upholding the family business, Vista Packaging & Logistics. In the past 37 years, David was able to work along his family to continually grow their reach. He was an intricate part of opening their offshoot facilities in Shepherdsville, Kentucky and Cincinnati. At the time of his passing he was Vice President of the company, where his legacy of leadership and enthusiasm will carry on. David found immense joy and fulfillment golfing on the greens of his favorite courses. He recently got to spend the week with friends and company clients attending the U.S. Open in Pinehurst, North Carolina. As much as he loved golf, he had a matched enthusiasm for the Ohio State Buckeyes. As a loyal and passionate fan, his favorite memories came from watching his daughter dance on the sidelines for the past 4 years. David found endless happiness in the company of his dog, Tucker. He was preceded in death by his father, James Cahall. David and his father shared many passions that played an impactful role throughout David’s life. David will be remembered as someone who cared about his loved ones deeply. His infectious sense of humor brightened the lives of all who knew him. He will be missed and loved every day moving forward.
