Curtis E. Stumpf, age 83, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Curt was born January 30, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio. Eldest son of Harold and Wilma Stumpf. Curt was a longtime resident of Columbus, Ohio. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Lynn Sophos Stumpf. He is also survived by his son, Scott Stumpf of Columbus, Ohio and his daughter, Tricia Stumpf, her husband, John Benzerkri and grandson, Johnny of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by his brother, John Stumpf and his wife, Rosita of Worthington, Ohio and nephews, Stacy and Bryan Stumpf. He attended Worthington High School and The Ohio State University. He is a graduate of The Wharton School of Finance through the Security Industries Association in Philadelphia, PA. Curt and Lynn are animal rights activists, a passion throughout his life. A longtime member of Columbus Humane and Stop the Suffering Animal Rescue of Ohio. Curt and Lynn loved all of their many dogs, cats, and horses. They owned and showed top Quarter horses. One became a Champion in the Quarter Horse Industry. Curt was employed by The Ohio Company, a member of the N.Y.S.E. His career extended over 30 years and prior to his retirement in 1998, he served as Sr. Ex. V.P. and General Sales Manager responsible for Retail and Institutional sales covering 8 states. He also served on the Board of Directors of The Ohio Company, Insurance Ohio and Ohio Equities. He was past President of the Columbus Stock and Bond Club. A sports enthusiast, marathon runner, motorcycle builder and rider, and avid fisherman. Curt also served in the United States Marine Corp.
