: Richard Frank Davis, age 77, of Bear, DE, went home to be with the Lord whom he loved on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Richard graduated from Yale with a PhD in Organic Chemistry. He retired from DuPont after 40+ years as a Research Chemist. Richard went on to serve the State of Delaware for 16 years as a representative and Chairman of the Joint Finance Committee for 10 of those years. He was a huge NASCAR fan and also enjoyed photography, repairing antique clocks, and traveling in his RV. Richard is survived by his cherished wife, Constance Davis; sons, Robert P. Davis and Stephen M. Davis (Andrea); daughter, Joanna Wohlgemuth (Sean); grandchildren: Connor Davis, Paige Wohlgemuth, Sadie Wohlgemuth, Aubrey Davis, and Cameron Davis; mother, Irmagene Davis; and brothers: Michael Davis (Juliette), Clifford Davis (Linda), and Gerald Davis (Karen). He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Davis.
