Robin Reeves Jenney died at his home in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Robin was born July 8, 1950 in Mt. Holly, N.J. to Hope Cole Reeves and Robert Jenney. He was raised in Pemberton, N.J. and in Worthington, Ohio, graduated from Worthington High School in 1968 and attended The Ohio State University Robin was a kind, sociable, fun-loving man with a great sense of humor. He loved music, sports, cars and travel. His greatest passion in life was his career as a recording engineer. He had a natural gift for it, which earned him several awards and platinum records with such well-known performers as Natalie Cole, Midnight Star, Bootsie Collins, ZAPP, Teddy Pendergrass and Shaquille O’Neal. He was employed for more than thirty years as a recording engineer, specifically at Owl Recording Studios (Columbus, Ohio), Fifth Floor Recording Studio (Cincinnati, Ohio), Full Sail University (Chicago, ILL. and Winter Park, FLA.) and Sweetwater Productions (Fort Wayne, IND.). He also played guitar in several bands throughout his life. Robin was an avid skier and traveled to Colorado and California in search of snow and beautiful scenery. Other adventures took him to Mexico, Italy and Jamaica, and he enjoyed taking photos wherever he roamed. Robin struggled in recent years with cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome and sarcoidosis, all of which were very challenging for him. He worked hard to overcome his illnesses, and always kept his sense of humor, his love of life and his optimism throughout the pain and suffering he endured. Robin is survived by his sister, Cheryl Beth Bair, (Athens, Ohio); nephews, Samuel Adam Bair and Matthew Richard Bair (Alexandria, Va.); and niece, Aimee Hope Bothwell (New Albany, Ohio). He is preceded in death by his parents, Hope Reeves Comar and Robert Francis Comar (Worthington, Ohio); brother, Richard Arthur Comar (Columbus, Ohio); and sister, Ellen Hope Comar (New Albany, Ohio). Robin will be remembered as a thoughtful, loving brother, uncle, and son, and a dear friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family would also like to thank Abbie Turner for her dedicated help, care and friendship with Robin.
